Twins! Madison & Makenna // Seattle Family Photographer

It’s been four years since I’ve had the pleasure of making portraits of newborn twins… so I was a little nervous! Doing a newborn shoot for just one baby is a challenge all in itself, with the feedings and the soothings and the wakings and the hopes of a v e r y sleepy baby. But imagine with two! And imagine what it must be like to be the mommy of two! I can’t even imagine…

With that said, however, it was such a fantastic experience. It never fails to amaze me how babies who aren’t even old enough to focus on the person in front of them or hold their heads up, seem to already have their own little personalities… Makenna sleeps with a little furrow in her brow, as if she is hoping to wake up and get something accomplished, while Madison sleeps with the most peaceful grin on her face. Like her nap was a much-needed bit of paradise. Mommy is very lucky to have the help of Grandma around during these first few weeks of the twins’ life, so it was a real treat to see them bonding together over the wonder that is newborn twins, and I’m beyond excited that they were all able to get in for a big hug of a three-generational portrait. And the dogs were there too… maybe not as excited about the twins as everyone else, but stuck around in their own cute way for a little piece of the action.

Welcome to the world, sweet angels.

Pam - You did such a wonderful job with our two little beauties!
