Welcome, Quinleigh… // Poulsbo Baby Portrait Photographer

“I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.”  -Vincent Van Gogh

You might remember our darling little ipo from when she was just a twinkle in her father’s eye, and the warmth in her mama’s belly… well, here she is! All ten fingers & ten toes & full head of hair & perfect wonder of her. She is amazing. You know I love those babies!!! When I was editing the photos, I was like, cooing over my computer… I told my daughter (who was also a cute baby once. many, many moons ago.) that I got my fill of babies and got to kiss on this sweet baby. She was like, “don’t you think it freaks people out when you kiss on their babies?” oh. [blank stare] perhaps.

So, just to let everyone know… I will ask permission first if I feel even the slightest tug to smell the top of your baby’s head and kiss their little necks. And Sean & Megan… thank you, and sorry…

(oh, and to geek out a little bit… all the soft close-ups are courtesy of my lens extender. I’ve been whining about not having a macro, then realized that I had bought that thing a long time ago, for just this kind of shoot! Some photographers might not like the blurred edges and not-quite-focused look, but I am quite digging it…)

Welcome, Quinleigh! And welcome to parenthood, Sean & Megan… enjoy. cherish. love.
