It’s Thursday! Time to take stock of what we are most thankful for!!! And I thought how perfect it would be to also blog about Jordan, my very last senior for the class of 2011… because I’m thinking how thankful she must be feeling right now to be done with high school and well on her way to a lifetime of accomplishments. I remember that feeling, like it was yesterday! Way to go, Jordan! The world is yours, and I wish you the best while you take it for your own…
I also had the pleasure of being involved in the joy of graduation this week… I photographed Pi Beta Phi as they prepared to graduate from University of Washington this last weekend. It was more amazing than I could have imagined, as they bonded together on their one last walk together as “sisters.” It was truly beautiful, and I wondered how fun it must be to be able to share such an important time in their lives with 20+ of their favorite people. Then I headed straight from UW’s graduation to the graduation of my beautiful (and first!) niece, Christiana, as she graduated from high school. Coincidentally, she was also graduating with Jordan (beautiful Jordan, above!), so it was super fun to be able to cheer on one of my seniors alongside her family, while with my family.
Which brings me to what I am thankful for this week:
…my family, who were all together for christiana’s graduation, for the first time in two years. it was wonderful, to say the least
…most specifically, my brother david, who is staying here at our house (sitting right next to me this very moment!)… when he leaves, i feel a giant emptiness in my world, so i try to just soak him up when he’s around
…my friends, who came from all over this past monday for an epic night of booze & pictionary. i woke up the next day, feeling sore & grateful
…my wedding couples this summer! i cannot wait to get into the swing of things… my couples are so rad, that i’m counting on this being one of my best summers yet
…some new friends i made this week! sydni, renee, rhonda & kristen; all courtesy of my other fun friends
…some new photos of my & my mister, who begrudgingly humored me for a photo shoot we did for my friend laurel… it was such a sweet feeling to be all snuggly & lovey for a couple of hours in front of the camera, and i dare say, it felt like we were celebrating our wedding all over again. thanks, mister!
Tell me what you’re thankful for! And, as always… each blog comment for Thankful Thursday generate a $2 donation to Ballard Food Bank.
Let us give thanks…
