I’m packing my bags and heading off to Mexico to photograph four weddings with my dear friend Jillian Mitchell; I’m not totally sure if I’ll have time to blog while I’m gone, so I figured I’d post some photos that I am perfectly happy with having on my blog for a couple of weeks.
And these photos make me perfectly happy.
“A little rain each day will fill the rivers to overflowing.” –African Proverb, Liberia
Hudson & Reo… I can’t help but think of their names’ reference to rivers (even though river in spanish is spelled “rio”… work with me). How rain… or in their case, love, is what fills these boys to overflowing. Midway through our time together, their whole family came over to celebrate their dad’s birthday… grandparents, aunts & uncles… and even in the midst of chaos, these boys were surrounded by love. And of course not to mention that throughout the time that I spent with them, they each went from calm to raging to soothing to playful, and back again… just as the rivers that their names invoke.
These are my favorite type of family photos… where I get to experience their life together, if only for short time. If you’re interested in having me come along for a play date with your family, at your house or in your car (road trip!), or at your favorite beach or campsite… shoot me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
