I just spent the most enlightening twelve days in San Pancho with my dear friend, Jillian.
It has left an indelible mark on me, and I am forever changed.
I woke up this morning, and braved the cold to walk & get some coffee… passing by so many familiar faces in Ballard, I wanted to say, “Buenos Dias!” Today is a good day! But alas, everyone was looking down and rushing around. I find myself looking at the expansive & impersonal infrastructure that is our modern civilization, and I wonder how I can ever look at our world the same again. I don’t even want to shower, because I fear washing Mexico out of me…
Things that Mexico has taught me: love your family, love your neighbor, take your time, do not waste… celebrate life.
I’ll be braving the cold again to send my film off at the post office; in the meantime, here are a few digital images I took with my phone… seriously not much, but will have to do for now.
“Hacer el bien y no te preocupes, a quien… do good and don’t worry to whom.” -Mexican Proverb
