film is not dead // seattle, washington

I have a new job.

This is my official announcement! Aside from being a mom & wife, and your favorite photographer (duh), I am proud to say that I am now also the *ahem* … Workshop Production Manager for Jonathan Canlas’s Film Is Not Dead workshops. weeeeeeeee! I still burst with pride when I say it, even though it’s certainly had enough time to sink in.

I’m gonna start signing my name: Catherine L.M. Abegg, FIND W.P.M.

I produced both workshops here in Seattle last July, and just also got back from my first out of town workshop in Miami last week. Then next year (so far), I’ll also be with Jon in Boston, Charleston, Vancouver BC, and Mexico. I’m excited to share some kind of behind the scenes shots from the Seattle workshops (don’t ask me why it took me this long), and I’m suuuuper excited to share the photos that I took in Miami… even though I haven’t even got the film back. That’s how excited I am.

If you are interested in learning how to shoot film and totally own it and make it work for your business… and if you’re dreaming of having an intense experience of opening yourself up, pouring yourself out, and soaking it all in, where you meet people from all over the world who become lifelong friends… then I highly suggest you look into attending a FIND workshop. I know this sounds like an exaggeration, but I wish I could look you in the eye when I say this so you can see how dead serious I am… this workshop will absolutely change your life.

Plus, you’ll get to hang out with me! It’s a win-win all the way around.

I would be a jerk if I didn’t give a shout out to all my FIND friends… you know who you are!  I love you all… and of course to the man himself, who didn’t know me from adam, but still trusted me with his creative livelihood and then became like a brother to me.  To my kuya, Jonathan Canlas.  If you don’t know him, you should.  My life seemed to get a whole lot sunnier when that big smilin’ Filipino walked into it…
