film is not dead // vancouver, bc

Here are just a few photos from last summer, when we visited Vancouver, BC for the FIND workshop… this time we got to road trip up in what Jon so lovingly calls my “Shaggin’ Wagon,” and I I was lucky enough to bring Madeline along so that she could learn more about film photography & see a bit of what it is I do when I’m off on all these trips.

This last summer was quite a challenge for me, with having weddings booked every weekend as well as leaving every few weeks to travel out of state (and out of country!) for the workshop. I know I found myself complaining about it every so often (I was exhausted & I missed my family!), but it’s not until I’m sort of revisiting these trips several months later am I realizing just how fortunate I am to be able to do what I love, to be able to travel to do what I love, and to be able to meet so many people who I find so inspiring & who are also passionate about doing what they love. So I’ve got to send a big blog hug & high-five to my mentor Jonathan Canlas, who is like a brother to me & happens to be one of the most inspiring & passionate & talented & generous people I’ve ever met, let alone had the pleasure of working for. Ali Migliore - Catherine- I am so happy you blogged so much! I check every few days, it’s so good to see your work : ) I love the color and light feel of this post. The portrait of the family who is all holding cameras is brilliant and adorable. And the two frames of Madeline are gorgeous… she is so photogenic gahh! Beautiful!
