everything’s bigger in texas // film is not dead // austin, texas

Big Love. Big Food. Big Friendships. This about sums up our experience at FIND Austin.

This workshop in particular, stood out above the rest… sorry to admit, but hey. It’s very rare to have 15+ people gather in a room & be old friends almost immediately upon meeting, with personalities that meshed together with no effort & all ease. It was incredible. I had just gotten back from our family trip to Mexico (as in, I landed in Seattle, went home to eat, unpack, repack, and sleep for about three hours before leaving Seattle again), and was admittedly dreading having to spend that time away from my family right after such a intense bonding experience… but it ended up feeling like being with extended family, and somehow made my time away that much better.

With credit to the attendees who were all individually so talented & kind-hearted, and with credit to Jon, the master of turning strangers into friends with his loving ways… the bond that we formed will never be forgotten & forever cherished.

Once again, I fell in love with Texas. And I’ve got the tattoo to prove it.

Joyce - and Texas Loves You too Catherine! it was such a pleasure meeting you, Jon and all the workshop participants. It was best three days I ever had during a photography workshop. I can’t wait we get a chance to meet up again soon!
