love & light // scottsdale, arizona

One thing I love about traveling is meeting new people… and the hope is always that I will meet them again one day.  So I was thrilled beyond measure when I went to Arizona last November & was able to hook up with my friend Andrea who I’d met at Lake Tahoe last summer, and who I love & greatly admire.  We got together for a family photo shoot & some ice cream, and I not only got to hug her again & hear her beautiful laugh, but I had the pleasure of seeing her in a different light than I’d known her before, as a mom & a wife.

How lucky am I!

I’ll admit that these kids were just not into having their photo taken, but I actually really enjoyed being with them all… Andrea is one of those people who is honest at all times, and who seems to embrace life no matter what.  I felt like with this family, even if not everything was going perfect, all we needed we definitely had… plenty of love & light.

I will be visiting the Los Angeles & Santa Barbara area at the end of February/beginning of March, and would love to make a family session with you part of my travel plans!  Email me for details:  catherine@calimaportraits.com

Andrea - Oh Catherine… your words brought me to tears! I am so incredibly blessed to know you and thank my lucky stars that our paths crossed in Tahoe! Even though the kiddos were less than cooperative that day, you captured our imperfect little family perfectly and we will TREASURE these photos forever! I love you, friend!
